Five quick and easy Easter Crafts

With the Easter holidays upon us, and no guarantee of good weather, we are always looking for ways to entertain the children whilst they are off school. Here is Prof. Kalimagik’s round up of 5 quick and easy Easter crafts to keep your little ones entertained.

bunny plate1. Easter Bunny Paper Plate Craft

These super cute paper plate bunnies from The Best Ideas for Kids are so easy to make that even toddlers can get involved. They would look great hung on the walls around the house or cut eye holes in the plates to make your own bunny mask! See the tutorial here.

2. Easter Egg Carton Chickschick

Grab the yellow paint and an old egg box and get your kids creating their own Easter egg carton chicks. These make cute boxes for sweets and mini chocolate eggs and would be perfect little gift boxes for friends too! Head to Onelittleproject.com for the tutorial.

peek-a-boo-chick-open3. Peek-a-Boo Chicks

Kids will have so much fun playing with these peek-a-boo Easter chicks. A simple card craft; with the addition of some googly eyes and a brass fastener. Not got a fastener? You can punch a hole and tie with ribbon. See the simple All Kids Network tutorial here.

4. Easter Egg Decorationsegg

Cut an egg shape out of some card and let your kids have fun with scraps of coloured paper or even cut up magazines to decorate their own Easter egg which can then be hung up. Clear acetate decorated with tissue paper makes a cute suncatcher to hang in your windows. See Clare’s Craft Room tutorial here

bunny rolls5. Toilet Roll Bunnies

I am a big fan of a toilet roll craft. What a great way to use something which we all have readily available at home? Prima’s tutorial for these lovely little bunnies is great and there are so many variants on the theme possible. Fill the tubes with sweets or chocolate, use them as napkin holders…the possibilities are endless.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for keeping the kids entertained this Easter! We would love to see your kids creations. Post a photo of your children’s crafts with the #superkalicrafts on our Facebook or Twitter accounts.
